Zion Climbing Center is located at 120 N. Spruce St. in Searcy, Arkansas 72143 and we share facilities with the Underground Cafe.

     While climbing at the gym participants will notice multi colored tape on all the walls. Don't worry this tape is not holding our walls together, but are actually indicating mapped out climbing problems (also known as routes) for climbers.

Zion Climbing Center grades its bouldering routes using the Hueco "V Scale" System to rate our routes. VB & V0 being the "easiest" up to possible V16 the "hardest". Our routes rarely go beyond a V7 grade.

     Belayers must be at least 13 years old and have passes our Belay certification course (there is no charge for the Belay certification).

     There is no specific climbing attire required, but we do recommend loose fitting clothing that you can move around in easily. During cold weather months we recommend dressing in layers as you will warm up as you climb.

     Yes. Our entire team of volunteer staff members are qualified to handle all climbing situations. Zion Climbing Center is staffed at all times by responsible and carrying volunteers who are more than eager to make your experience as enjoyable as possible.

     The portable outdoor wall is 25ft tall and can accomodate up to 4 climbers.

     During peak seasons (April - September) it is best to make your reservations for the wall at least 2-4 weeks in advance. Of course, you can always call (501-368-8500) to check availability.

     The wall can be rented for just about any event. We do our best to make the wall as available and affordable to as many customers as possible.

* $100 for each additional hour beyond 8 hours

    This class is currently offered during the Fall and Spring Semesters, so be sure to sign up early, because this class fills up ridiculously fast!

    This climbing class is offered as a (1) credit course through Harding University and is subject to the applicable hourly tuition rate (determined by the university). In addition there is a $225 (non-refundable) activities fee paid directly to Zion Climbing Center. This fee covers a semester climbing pass, gear rental and any other needs associated with the course.

     Yes. Every climber must fill out and have a waiver on file before climbing at Zion Climbing Center.  If the climber is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian must be present to give written consent.  Due to liability issues this is non-negotiable - thank you.
